Dr. Tieraona Low Dog is an internationally recognized authority in integrative medicine, women’s health, dietary supplements, and herbal medicine. Her scholarly work encompasses peer-reviewed scientific publications, medical textbooks, National Geographic books, and Oxford University’s Integrative Women’s Health textbook editor.Â
She has spoken at over 600 global medical conferences and held key public service roles, including an appointment by President Clinton to the White House Commission for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy. Dr. Low Dog chaired expert panels at the U.S. Pharmacopeia for 25 years and served on the NIH National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine advisory board. She received four-lifetime achievement awards, serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Botanical Council, and was named one of the 30 most influential people in the natural products industry by the Vitamin Retailer.Â
 A founding member of the American Board of Integrative Medicine, she now serves as the Founding Director of the Integrative and Functional Medicine Fellowship and Clinical Professor of Health Sciences at the UC Irvine.
