With over a decade of experience in both aromatherapy and as a registered nurse, Holly brings a wealth of knowledge on how essential oils can bridge the mind-body connection and enhance wellness. Drawing from her background and expertise, Holly will guide us through the essential oils and techniques needed to create your own effective, aromatherapy first aid kit.

Holly Brandenberger is the founder of Science of Essentials, an online resource offering global education on aromatherapy and holistic health. She holds a BSN from Marquette University and has diverse RN experience in trauma, burns, post-surgical care, and hospital administration. 

Fascinated by how stress impacts the mind and body, she discovered aromatherapy in 2015 and became a Certified Aromatherapist in 2020 through The School of Aromatic Studies. Holly has furthered her expertise with courses in aromatic chemistry, essential oil safety, internal use, trauma, and botanical skin care. She integrates aromatherapy into hospital settings and teaches at The School of Aromatic Studies. 

She lives outside Seattle on her childhood family farm with her husband and children, and she enjoys gardening, foraging, running, soup season, picnics, and charcuterie boards. Holly’s goal is to share her knowledge, blending modern medicine with holistic health to benefit others.
