Chanchal is a medical herbalist with over 30 years of clinical experience, specializing in holistic oncology for the past 20 years. She is the author of Fibromyalgia: A Journey towards Healing and Holistic Cancer Care: An Herbal Approach to Preventing Cancer, Helping Patients Thrive during Treatment, and Minimizing the Risk of Recurrence. 

Chanchal served as the faculty chair in Botanical Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine from 2004 to 2016 and lectures internationally on herbalism, nutrition, and health. 

A certified Shinrin Yoku (forest bathing) practitioner, Master Gardener, and certified Horticulture Therapist, Chanchal lives on Vancouver Island, where she and her husband manage Innisfree Farm & Botanic Garden, a 7-acre garden focused on food and medicinal plants. The farm also hosts Gardens without Borders, a non-profit for horticulture therapy.
