VIRTUAL HERBALISM CONFERENCE - DAY 2

Herbal Strategies for Inflammation: Addressing the Root Cause with David Winston

Join internationally renowned herbalist and ethnobotanist David Winston for an in-depth exploration of inflammation and its root causes. With more than 55 years of experience integrating traditional herbal wisdom with modern scientific research, David offers clear insight into what inflammation is, why it develops, and how herbs can support a balanced inflammatory response. Drawing from decades of clinical practice and teaching, this interview highlights evidence-based herbal strategies and key plant allies that support inflammation and promote resilience for whole-body wellness.

Discussion Highlights:

  • Role of inflammation in the body and common underlying root causes
  • Foundational framework for modulating inflammation with herbs
  • Approaches to fast-acting support for acute presentations versus longer-term tissue remodeling
  • Choosing between inflammation suppression versus promoting resolution and herbs aligned with each pathway
  • Favorite synergistic herbal pairings for inflammation and the rationale behind their synergy
  • Foundational protocol considerations for systemic, chronic, low-grade inflammation
